City Winery Atlanta and WCLK 91.9 presents Marcus Johnson on July 14th at 8pm!
While pursuing a JD and MBA at Georgetown, Marcus independently produced and distributed his debut CD, "Lessons in Love," selling over 40,000 units. This success launched his career as a jazz keyboardist/pianist. Noticed by BET founder Robert L. Johnson, they formed Marimelj Entertainment Group, housing Three Keys Music label and recording studio Studio 8121. Marcus, as head of Three Keys Music, produced successful releases for various artists. With over fifteen Billboard charted CDs, Marcus made history with his 2008 FLO Anthology, where three CDs charted Top 10 simultaneously. His albums "Poetically Justified" (2009) and "This is How I Rock" (2011) further solidified him as the heir to the funky urban groove style of jazz legends George Duke and Herbie Hancock.
